Tall Grass Prairie

We saw a pretty horse, some beautiful quilts, and lots of gorgeous scenery. The wind was fierce, though!

Happy Halloween!

We were really lucky to have warm, dry weather this year. Lots of pumpkins, lots of candy, lots of fun. Just like always!

First Film Contest

Christopher and Gabrielle have been creating their own movies for a couple of years. A few weeks ago, they decided to enter The Flint Hills Film Festival.

We had a lot of fun making a three-minute film using at least four of eight required locations. Imagine our surprise when that film, Flint Hills Delights, won first place in the open division!

Windy Day

Christopher: "Lexi, we're going to the park that has the giant!" Alexa: "Oh, he's a little giant." Christopher: "No, he's big. If he was little, than he wouldn't be a giant." Alexa: "Yeah."

It's way too cold for April-39 degrees today! Saturday was better, although the wind was a bit overwhelming.

Fun on Two Wheels

I finally got to try out my anniversary present. We went out to Neverland, and I spent 3 fabulous hours on the motorcycle. It was great! Christopher and Gabs rode their ATV's, and Travis had fun on the new Razor. Liz entertained the babies at home and then stayed for dinner. Yay!

67 Degrees and Sunny

What a beautiful day this was, especially for February! The kids all enjoyed the park, and then Christopher and Gabrielle went to ride their ATV's with Travis while Alexa and Nicholas napped. I took advantage of the empty (of children!) playroom and did some heavy cleaning.

Big Foot Prints?

What unusual creature could have possibly made these footprints?  Was it Big Foot?  Or just a little girl and a puppet dog with a stick?

Unusually Warm

It was a beautiful day---especially for February!   We all enjoyed a nice, long walk, followed by outside play for the kids!
